Hoppy Easter…

We went to Cirque du Soleil Totem this evening in Baltimore for our holiday. You wouldn’t think that has a lot to do with graphic design, but…

I was amazed at the costumes, set design and artistry found everywhere in and around the show. I would love to be part of the team that comes up with the ideas for all their productions. Even some of the souvenirs were crafted by Cirque artists. What a creative group they have!

I remembered watching “Fire Within” several years ago and seeing the acrobats struggle to audition and then practice and perfect their parts of the show. I wanted to see more of the behind the scenes – the people that create the costumes, the make up and the flyers, booklets, ads, etc. Oh, how I dreamed to be part of something as innovative and original as Cirque one day!

I have posted some pictures in the personal section if you would like to see us at the tents today.

Until tomorrow, faithful reader, here’s hoping life lays your own Tapis Rouge to your dreams… C
